Cats on Duty – The Review

Well, this is something I did not expect on this day when I entered the time tunnel. It was said that I would never know where I may end up, who or what I will become, or what destiny awaits me. As I entered the mysterious time tunnel, I eagerly embraced the mystical experience, embarking on thrilling adventures across numerous times, forever searching for the next great test in the vastness of the digital universe. Yet, who would have imagined that I would assume the form of a cat, engaged in a war against evil creatures? Even for me, this was a strange one. But armed with my knowledge, I leaped through time to correct the wrongs. My journey into the world of Cats on Duty began like no other.

A cat greeted me in a star-like coat, named Oxana. They warned me that weird creatures were trying to kill all the cats. The instructions given to me were to combine gems on the field of resources to create cat food and build a cat army. From my game experience, match-3 games are something I have always been good at, as I could think on the fly about the steps ahead. But this one had a twist. I could move the gems without combinations and, depending on how many sausages I had, would determine the moves I would have. Before I could even ask how to earn sausages, I was told by Oxana that when an enemy is killed, after every 30 seconds, the sausages are earned. But one of the most important tips they gave me was that during the battle, I needed to combine gems, otherwise, I would be left without money at a crucial time. Before I knew it, the battle and the lives of us cats would be challenged.

Putting my skills to use, we conquered what seemed like the battle of the day. Cats sacrificed their lives battling against those creatures, spilling blood on the battleground. However, what these creatures were unaware of is that cats like us have nine lives. And with that said, when one cat was down, I was able to send another out to avenge the fallen brothers and sisters. After the conclusion, we added a kid’s room door to our arsenal, a shield that would prove very useful in future battles.

As more battles were coming, one of the most helpful tips Oxana gave me was how important combination was. Not only could the gems be combined, but Oxana also advised me to combine the cats to become more powerful in facing the enemies, even amidst the bloodshed painting the ground like a representation of the fallen and the avenged.

As we progressed, and earned more power from the cats, we continued to meet our match but overcame the next challenges. What was supposed to be an easy task at first thought has turned into a more of a strategic way of thinking. It was not as simple as it could be. The enemy seemed to know what our plan of attack was. I am starting to think we may have a traitor. Maybe it was the retired police cat, though. It didn’t seem to be his nature, but maybe it was Lord the Middle as their asking price for some protection with their sword and shield became a little too high. Either way, I kept up with the fight, but as the battlefields changed the longer I stayed in the battle, things became more wild, being part of this cat army as there was nothing like being in some wild contraptions. Who knew that cats could drive? But that wasn’t until I was about to try a new strategy that I somehow was back in the time tunnel. Whatever I did must have worked for those in Cat Land.

I learned some things in my time with Cats on Duty and in Cat Land. I learned that sometimes the simplest of things can be the most surprising. I could see the details without having to guess what they were. Each of the cats looked great in their pixelated bodies, along with the environments to match. Trying to control not only the match 3 but what was happening to the other cats was a nice change of pace. The only thing I was hoping there to be was another person to battle against. But who knows if that would have caused too much chaos with everything else going on? It’s interesting how things you wouldn’t think are worthwhile can be surprisingly fun. This goes to show that one should never judge a book by its cover. And that goes for this life as well.
